Breeds

There are many different breeds of horses and ponies. Some are small and dainty, others are big and muscular.

One thing that often stands out in the pony or horses appearence is what kind of breed they are. You can sometimes identifi the breed just by looking at the horse or pony

.To the left is a picture of a shetland pony. Can you see how thick its coat is? Its coat will help keep it warm as it doesn't need to go into a stable, unless it is very cold.
